2024 NJOMA Conference Theme: "Inclusion Beyond Borders"

This year's theme is "Inclusion Beyond Borders". This theme was selected to address several ideas.

JOM Student Count: The JOM Student Count was very important this year. The BIE will be using the 2024 student count to distribute the FY 2025 funds. The undercounting does a serious disservice to AIAN students and the programs designed to help them succeed. Collective qualification will ensure JOM is Inclusive Beyond Borders.
Student Impact: Inclusion - mentally, spiritually and physically - is imperative in the academic success of JOM students as well as being a big part of the bigger picture in the schools (i.e. counseling, etc.) - our JOM students need to be included in ALL services.
Educating Others: As Indigenous leaders and those that work with Indigenous students, we continuously provide support for each other and ensure our voices are heard and included in spaces that have an impact on Indian education.

NJOMA is offering scholarship opportunities for high school seniors graduating during the Spring 2024. Applications are due by June 1, 2024.

The following scholarship winners will be announced on September 11, 2024 at NJOMA's annual conference banquet:
