2023 NJOMA Conference
This year's theme is "Make It Count". This theme was selected to address several ideas.
- JOM Student Count: The JOM Student Count was very important this year. The BIE will be using the 2023 student count to distribute the FY 2024 funds. If you have not submitted your student counts, please contact your BIE Regional Representative.
- Student Impact: As educators, it is up to us to Make It Count when assisting our students. Each moment has a significant impact upon the academic success of each student.
- Educating Others: As Indigenous leaders, we continuously provide support for each other and ensure our voices are heard in spaces that have an impact on Indian education.
Students: There will be no Student Strand activities during the 2023 NJOMA Conference.
Student Scholarship Opportunities for 2023 - Applications are closed.
NJOMA is offering scholarship opportunities for high school seniors graduating during the 2021/2022 school year. Applications are due by August 4, 2023.
The following scholarship winners will be announced on September 13, 2023 at NJOMA's annual conference banquet:
- Chief Earl Old Person Scholarship - Two (2) $1,000 scholarships
- Steve Pruitt's Memorial Scholarship - Two (2) $1,000 scholarships
